Summer Strings 2017 with Mary Helen Weinstein

We are now enrolling students for the 2017 Summer Strings ensemble class, taught by Mary Helen Weinstein, open to intermediate violinists and violists. Bring instrument, folding music stand, and pencil to each session. Repertoire is super-secret, and will be passed out in class.

Two meetings - Tuesday, June 27 from 6:30-8:00 PM and Wednesday, June 28 from 3:15-4:45 PM.

Fee: $150 per musician, payable to instructor at (or before) first class.

Instructor Mary Helen Weinstein is a professional violinist who plays classical and jazz, loves small ensembles, and teaches at Hope Street Music Studios and CSMA.

Mary Helen Weinstein's Group - First Fridays in Downtown Los Altos

Mary Helen Weinstein (violin and pandeiro) appears with her group "In the Pocket," playing Brazilian choros and jazz, at the First Fridays events in downtown Los Altos. The group plays at Chase Bank, at the intersection of Main and 3rd, from 6-8 PM on 6/2, 7/7, and other first Fridays when the weather's nice.

Three of Katie's Piano Students Win Awards

Three of Katie Geuorguieva's piano students have again won awards, this time at the 2016 American Protege Competition. They will be performing at Carnegie Hall next April. Congratulations to Ramya Krishna, Nathan Ng, and Revan Aponso!
