John L. Worley, Jr., trumpet/fluegelhorn/post horn artist and leader of Mo-chi Quartet, Worlview, and Bari Bari, has been a member of many of the Bay Area’s creative music ensembles for more than 20 years.
Adept at a multitude of styles, John has played or recorded with many national and international artists in the US, Canada, Europe, and Central America, including Carla Bley, Steve Turre, Maria Schneider, Don Byron, Stanley Clarke, Sam Rivers, Wayne Shorter, Richie Cole, McCoy Tyner, Joe Henderson, Dizzy Gillespie, Woody Herman, Quincy Jones, Pete Escovedo, Turtle Island String Quartet, Boz Scaggs, and Rebeca Mauleon.
John is a member of the music faculty at Stanford University and at Hope Street Music Studios in Mountain View, CA. He is a clinician/endorsing artist for Conn/Selmer Inc and plays Bach Stradivarius trumpets.
